Twenty-five young people from across South Wales were treated to an exclusive DJ master-class on 3rd June, organised and hosted by Escape Into The Park.

Those attending the session came from ‘Young and Gifted’ and ‘Young Vibes’ (the local DJ groups in Pontarddulais) plus young people who access services via the Swansea Youth Offending Service.

They were given a DJ tutorial by international professional DJs, with an introduction to DJ equipment and basic skills in beat matching. The event was supported by the Swansea Youth Offending Service, the Youth Service and the Andrew Kent Music Academy.

The Eyst Boyz youth action group:

The boys meet at The Ethnic Youth Support (EYST) Centre in Swansea City Centre. www.eyst.org.uk
The group have worked with South Wales Police to create a short film about diversity and cultural conflict in Swansea.
The young people have contributed massively to the community by working with staff to renovate their centre.
