Twenty-five young people from across South Wales were treated to an exclusive DJ master-class on 3rd June, organised and hosted by Escape Into The Park.

Those attending the session came from ‘Young and Gifted’ and ‘Young Vibes’ (the local DJ groups in Pontarddulais) plus young people who access services via the Swansea Youth Offending Service.

They were given a DJ tutorial by international professional DJs, with an introduction to DJ equipment and basic skills in beat matching. The event was supported by the Swansea Youth Offending Service, the Youth Service and the Andrew Kent Music Academy.

The Open House Project

The Open House Project:

The young people meet at Stadwen Youth Centre and take part in Theatre and Stage Craft workshops.
The group have developed skills in event planning and performance management.
Using these new-found skills and abilities, the group plan to give a voice to the young people in their community.
