Twenty-five young people from across South Wales were treated to an exclusive DJ master-class on 3rd June, organised and hosted by Escape Into The Park.

Those attending the session came from ‘Young and Gifted’ and ‘Young Vibes’ (the local DJ groups in Pontarddulais) plus young people who access services via the Swansea Youth Offending Service.

They were given a DJ tutorial by international professional DJs, with an introduction to DJ equipment and basic skills in beat matching. The event was supported by the Swansea Youth Offending Service, the Youth Service and the Andrew Kent Music Academy.

The Antic Youth Theatre Mentors youth action group:

Support and encourage younger members of Antic Youth Theatre.
Provide consistent help at weekly Antic Youth Theatre workshops in Townhill.
Include young people with low self-esteem and help them to build confidence and develop communication skills.
Create a fun atmosphere using drama games to promote participation.
